PageFinder Privacy Policy

At PageFinder, protecting your data and privacy is our highest priority. This Privacy Statement describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the PageFinder service, including our compliance with data protection regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

1. Information We Collect

When you use PageFinder, we may collect the following information:

  • Personal Information: Name, email address, and login credentials to authenticate your access.
  • Cloud Storage Content: File names, metadata, and page-level content from documents you choose to sync or back up from cloud storage providers.
  • Technical & Usage Data: IP address, browser and device information, log data, and interactions with the service.
  • Support Correspondence: When you contact us, we may retain communications for support and service improvement purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and provide the PageFinder service.
  • To back up, sync, and index files for document and page-level search functionality.
  • To authenticate users and secure access to accounts.
  • To provide customer support and communicate with you.
  • To monitor for suspicious activity and maintain system integrity.

3. Security and Data Protection

  • Encryption at Rest: All stored content is encrypted using AES-256.
  • Encryption in Transit: All communication is secured via TLS 1.2+ over HTTPS.
  • Authentication: User access is protected by passwords and multi-factor authentication (MFA). All access attempts and user actions are logged and audited.
  • Access Control: Only authorized personnel with a legitimate operational need have access to backend systems.

4. Cloud Storage Access

When you link your cloud storage accounts (Google Drive, OneDrive, Box), PageFinder uses secure OAuth protocols to request the minimum access needed. We only access folders or files that you explicitly choose to sync. PageFinder does not sell or share access to your cloud content with third parties.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your synced content only while your account remains active, or as necessary to provide the Service. You may delete your synced content or close your account at any time. Upon account deletion, all associated user data and documents will be permanently removed from our systems, unless retention is required by law.

6. Third-Party Processors

PageFinder may use third-party providers for services such as hosting, monitoring, and analytics. All vendors are contractually obligated to handle personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws and with the same level of security and confidentiality as PageFinder.

7. GDPR Compliance (for EU/EEA Users)

If you are a user located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Right to Access
  • Right to Rectification
  • Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”)
  • Right to Restriction

We may update this Privacy Statement periodically. When changes are significant, we will notify you via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance.
