Terms of Service

1. The Service

PageFinder indexes documents in storage you connect, answers questions about them with citations to the pages it used, and can produce files such as Excel workbooks from what it finds. We may change, add or remove features over time.

2. Accounts and workspaces

• You must be at least 18 years old and give accurate account information.
• You are responsible for activity under your account; keep your sign-in secure and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use.
• The owner of a workspace decides who is invited and what role each member has, and is responsible for members’ use of that workspace under these Terms.
• We may limit who can sign up, for example to invited addresses.

3. Your content

“Your Content” means the documents in the storage you connect, the questions you ask, and the answers and files the Service produces for you. You keep all rights to Your Content.

You give us a limited permission to access, process, store and display Your Content only as needed to provide the Service to you and the members of your workspaces, to keep it secure, and as the Privacy Policy describes. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to connect each source and to have its documents processed by the Service, including by the AI providers listed in the Privacy Policy, and that doing so does not breach any law or obligation you owe to others.

4. AI-generated answers

Answers, extracted figures and generated files are produced by AI and can be incomplete or wrong. They are a research aid, not professional advice — legal, financial, tax, accounting or otherwise. Check important answers against the cited pages before you rely on them; you are responsible for the decisions you make with them.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights.
• Connect storage or process documents you are not authorised to access.
• Try to access another workspace’s data, probe or bypass security or usage limits, or disrupt the Service.
• Reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it, or use it to build a competing product.
• Resell or provide the Service to third parties without our written agreement.
• Upload malware, or use automated means to access the Service other than through features we provide.

6. Credit, plans and payment

• Prepaid credit. Use of the Service — indexing and AI requests — is charged against your account’s credit at the prices shown in the Service. You add credit by card through Stripe. Any promotional or sign-up credit is a one-time courtesy with no cash value.
• Account maintenance. A prepaid plan may carry a monthly account-maintenance fee for keeping your documents indexed, stepped by how many files your account holds. Where it does, the fee and its steps are shown with your balance before they apply. It is deducted from your credit after each month ends, is not charged for a month in which nothing is indexed or for your account’s first, partial month, and is owed even when it takes your balance below zero.
• Automatic top-up. If you turn it on, you authorise us to charge your saved card the amount you choose whenever your balance falls below your threshold, at most once a day, until you turn it off.
• Subscriptions. Monthly plans, where offered, renew each month until cancelled and include the usage stated for the plan. You can cancel at any time in My account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Refunds. Payments and purchased credit are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. Deleting your account ends any subscription immediately and forfeits unused credit.
• Taxes and prices. Prices exclude taxes unless stated. We may change prices or plan limits with notice before the change applies to you.

7. Third-party services

The Service works with services we do not control, such as your storage provider, Google and Microsoft sign-in and file access, Stripe, and AI model providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service, its software and the PageFinder name and logo belong to Auriq Systems Inc. and its licensors. These Terms give you a right to use the Service; they do not transfer any ownership. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, or create a risk to the Service or other users, and will tell you when we reasonably can. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Your Content, AI-generated answers, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law — survive it.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED ANSWERS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AURIQ SYSTEMS INC. WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

12. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify Auriq Systems Inc. and its personnel against third-party claims arising from Your Content, your connection of storage you were not entitled to connect, or your breach of these Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.

14. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service, unless you have signed a separate agreement with us, which then prevails. If any part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of assets.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and tell account owners in advance of any material change. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
